Fancy rubbing shoulders with the world’s cutest carnivores?
Well, now’s your chance. Because Chester Zoo is hiring for someone to join their team, specifically taking care of a wide variety of mammal species ranging from the Sumatran tiger, Asiatic lion, Giant otter, to the African painted dog and even two species of bear. So, naturally, whoever takes up the job will have their hands pretty full with predators – but thankfully, not with the kind that corners you at the water cooler.
Taking up the role of Keeper at the award-winning zoo, the job will entail caring for the wonderful animals that make up the zoo’s carnivore section, as well as helping to contribute to the zoo’s success in working to prevent extinction in many of the world’s rare and beautiful species.
And while it sounds like the absolute dream job getting spend day after day with these fascinating creatures (and, of course, not having to discuss the boring things you did on the weekend with humans), Chester Zoo is specifically looking for someone with the relevant HND or degree-level qualifications, with the ad stipulating that they’d prefer someone with two years’ prior experience working with carnivores. Looks like we’ll be sticking to the day job, then.
