Let me introduce you to… Tipsy tapas!
If your weekends have been looking pretty bleak thanks to Coronavirus, then it’s time to rejoice – because Tipsy Tapas is here to brighten your weekends with fun, socially distanced grub. And it’s an absolute treat for tapas fans, combining the traditional bottomless brunch with Mediterranian cuisine.
The event, which runs every Saturday at Ancoats’ Canto, allows guests to choose from three tapas dishes as part of their meal – and there’s a wide variety of dishes to choose from as part of the menu. Seafood lovers can enjoy cod, baby squid and tiger prawns, with plenty of veggie options and a number of tasty meat dishes, too.
To complete the meal, guests can also take advantage of unlimited drinks – including cava, bellinis, house wine, lager and white Sangria, all of which can be ordered as often as you’d like for 90 whole minutes. You will, of course, need to sensibly finish your previous drink before ordering another, but that goes without saying.
Inside the venue itself, patrons are greeted to a fresh yet warm environment, with Mediterranian-style painted woods, hanging plants and patterned Portuguese tiles, with a hint of Manchester’s industrial style that runs throughout many of our city’s venues. It’s a small piece of Portugal in a usually gloomy Mancunia – but boy, is it a welcome slice of the sunshine life.
Tipsy Tapas costs just £35pp for 90 minutes of bottomless drinks and three plates per person every Saturday.
Canto is open Wednesday-Sunday and can be found at Cutting Room Square, Blossom St, Ancoats, M4 5DH.
