The beautiful performances will take place across the city.
Combining beautiful surroundings with the sounds of incredibly talented classical musicians, a series of candlelit concerts are taking place this Autumn in Manchester, across a number of top-secret locations.
Previous events have taken place in historical buildings with beautiful architecture, such as Manchester Cathedral, so you can expect some grandeur while you’re there, and of course, a bar on arrival.
Bringing the spook factor to Manchester this year, guests can unwind with a beautiful concert led by some of the country’s most terrific musicians – who’ll be performing some of the most famous scary movie scores of all time. Think Corpse Bride, Beetlejuice, The Shining and even Jaws, with stunning (yet mysterious) surroundings completely bathed in candlelight. It’s set to be eery, thrilling, and a musical spectacle – which may even bring you goosebumps. The event takes place on October 30, and tickets are selling fast.
Fever’s up-close-and-personal piano concerts are also returning, and if you haven’t had the chance to experience one yet, they’re a real treat for the senses – providing a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere which is perfect for winding down after a long week. An incredibly gifted artist will take to the keys to perform some of Ludovico Einaudi’s legendary compositions, showing some of his best works in a space that’s bathed in candlelight. The event will take place on October 17 and December 5, and you can buy tickets here.
The magic of the movies will be brought to life, with some of the world’s greatest soundtracks recreated in an intimate setting – where the works of Hans Zimmer, Ennio Morricone, Henry Mancini and more will be performed for fans to enjoy. Experience the drama of Jurassic Park, Star Wars, Harry Potter and other classics in a whole new way, with a glass in hand as you take in the atmosphere. Tickets are on sale now, and the performance takes place October 31.
Jazz fans will be able to kick back and relax to Jazz by Candlelight, which will transform one of Manchester’s most beautiful venues into an intimate jazz club, accompanied by the sounds of some of the most talented jazz musicians in the UK – who’ll be paying tribute to the much-loved genre. Perfect for novices as well as well-versed fans, this one takes place on January 29 and tickets are available to purchase now.
