Making a triumph return to town after the latest lockdown, Fever’s gorgeous Candlelight concert series returns to enchant your senses with a series of sublime concerts this month. You’ll hear music from some of the greatest contemporary composers, whilst enjoying the serene surrounds of a venue that’s been bathed in the gentle glow of candlelight. All you have to do is take your seat, sit back, and enjoy. With music from Ennio Morricone and Ludovico Einaudi on offer, there’s something to suit every taste!
First up is a stirring journey through the great film soundtracks of history, where composers such as Hans Zimmer and Ennio Morricone have produced some of their greatest works. Music from Pirates of the Caribbean, Cinema Paradiso, James Bond, Titanic, and Edward Scissorhands will all be featured, and it’s a mesmerising way to enjoy some of the most recognisable tunes from the movies. Concerts are taking place on March 16 and April 15, and you can find tickets to them here.
For those looking to delve a little deeper into Hans Zimmer’s much-loved back catalogue, however, you can enjoy a night of awe-inspiring music by the legendary composer, surrounded by ambient candlelight which is sure to lift the stunning sounds of compositions such as the Lion King main theme, and even music from Gladiator. The special concert takes place on May 28, and you can get tickets here.
Finally, you can relax and take in the music of talented pianist Ludovico Einaudi, whose meditative, minimalist tunes ensnare the senses, making his work perfect for one of Fever’s fabulous candlelight concerts. Several of Einaudi’s beautiful piano pieces will be performed by the glow of candles, as a talented pianist brings the moving compositions to life. These concerts will be performed on February 20 and March 6 – pick up your tickets here.
Each concert will take place at a stunningly atmospheric location in Manchester, and will be safe and socially-distanced at all times. But whichever one you choose, you’re in for a gorgeous night of music!
