Ever fancied doing something completely different to keep yourself and some mates entertained, or perhaps something to get stuck into with the kids? Well, lucky for you, Blank Studio in Manchester offers the perfect wholesome activity to get your creative juices flowing and going home with something unique. And you can’t deny the paint drip effect is pretty impressive!
Blank Studio was founded by a group of friends who met in Manchester and wanted to contribute to the vibrant culture of the city. They say: “In the midst of our busy lives, we’ve experienced first-hand how art unlocks inner creative joy, and serves as a memorable experience with our loved ones.”
With expert guidance and all skill levels welcome, you can join the acrylic pouring art workshops Wednesday to Sunday. Mix colours of your choosing, and pour onto your selected blank sculpture to create a Bearbrick that’s uniquely yours – simple, but most definitely effective.
No matter your experience level, the workshops are designed to accommodate and inspire. Blank Studio provides the tools and guidance for you to bring your imagination to the blank canvas, whether that be a bear, clown, bunny or dog… yep, you read that right.
How does Blank Studio work?
First, choose your sculpture: Start by selecting a sculpture and quantity on the website, and add them to your order. This could be one of the keyrings, starting at 6.5cm, up to the whopping 75cm sculptures where you can really get your creativity flowing. For the best experience, Blank Studio recommends one sculpture per person – 56cm or 75cm sculptures can be shared.
Next, book a time and the number of participants (there’s a small fee to cover the booking), and you’re sorted! If you’re a group of eight or more, you’ll need to email info@blankstudio.co.uk.
After the workshop, the sculptures need a minimum of 48 hours before you can take them home. You will receive a link to book a suitable collection time, but if you’re unable to collect, Blank Studio can also post it to you for £5, using DPD.
