Scrolling through social media usually guarantees a barrage of extravagant celebrity health drinks that require a transatlantic flight to taste. However, you can forget the airport queues as the West Coast wellness wave has officially hit Manchester.
Berry Boys: serving Erewhon-style blends in Manchester
Operating inside General Store at Deansgate Square, Manchester, Berry Boys pours Los Angeles smoothie culture into a cup. They serve up the highly sought-after Erewhon aesthetic without the infamous $30 price tag.

The menu features liquid treats like the Smooth Operator, a bright yellow blend featuring turmeric, pineapple, mango, and ginger, delivering a tropical punch. Alongside it sits the Crowd Pleaser, a blue beverage which gets its hue from the spirulina powder and is swirled with coconut. Smoothies at Berry Boys in Manchester cost £7.50 with the option to add protein powder for £1.50.
Signature bowls and endless toppings
Beyond drinks, the sleek metallic counter serves made-to-order Açaí bowls, with prices starting from £8.50. Each one starts with a thick, icy berry base, then it’s piled high with the likes of fresh strawberries, ripe kiwi, banana, and blueberries.
Opt for a handful of coconut shavings and a heavy drizzle of dark chocolate to finish the dish, or try ‘Mum’s Granola’ made to one of the founders’ mum’s recipe, if you like a bit of crunch. Visitors can request signature creations like El Clásico or The Works, or build their own order from scratch.

For a warmer alternative, Berry Boys also serves up comforting porridge, priced at £5.95 for a 12oz pot and £6.45 for a 16oz pot, which includes four toppings of your choice. The topping selection offers something to suit all taste buds, such as rich Biscoff sauce and peanut butter to crunchy cacao nibs and almonds.
