Mancunians, if you fancy a free bev this Friday, then Beavertown has just the walking tour for you. The brewery known for crafting innovative beers like Gamma Ray APA and Neck Oil SIPA is launching a Hops on Hops off tour with a twist, starting on Manchester’s London Road, near Piccadilly station, at 1pm, handing out hundreds of free cans of beer at each stop.
Beavertown describes this as not “your usual walking tour” as in fact, it’s not really a tour at all but instead a ‘Hops on Hops off’ (pun intended) experience. Mancs are invited to drop by at one of the three stops, grab a free beer and then head off and enjoy the rest of their Friday.
If you’re looking to learn some genuine facts about the city – look elsewhere. This tongue-in-cheek walk from London Road to … the pub, is exactly that. Expect a bit of comedy and some delicious ice cold cans along the way.
Beer lovers should look out for Beavertown “tour guides” on London Road at 1pm, Foundry Project Manchester on Thomas Street at 1.30pm and Quarter House bar, Stevenson Square at 1.45pm. Beavertown will be giving out a selection of beers including Nanobot (2.8%), a light, crisp super session IPA and Lazer Crush, Beavertown’s alcohol free IPA, as well as 50 vouchers for free pints of their famous Neck Oil IPA redeemable at Quarter House bar in the Northern Quarter.
Tom Rainsford, Marketing Director at Beavertown said, “This week we’re crash landing in Manchester with a ‘Hops on Hops off’ tour that’s guaranteed to kickstart your weekend. Look out for our tour guides – they’ll be the ones standing under the big Beavertown billboard (it’s hard to miss), armed with hundreds of ice-cold cans. If any of their facts sound too out-of-this-world to be true… it’s probably because they are.”
