We like to think Manchester is the place to go for chic and trendy shopping, and with all the new openings we’ve had over the past year, it’s plain to see we are in fact, correct. Now, cult jewellery brand Astrid & Miyu is set to launch its first standalone store in the Royal Exchange in Manchester after significant customer demand, and we couldn’t be more excited.
With stores across UK cities, Europe and one in New York, the British brand has already made its presence known in Manchester, with a concession in Selfridges Trafford Centre, but this will be the first standalone Astrid & Miyu boutique in the city – and it’s set to be gorgeous.
Located on Market Street in the Grade II listed Royal Exchange building, the new Astrid & Miyu store brings the same much loved jewellery experience to a new customer, with a space inspired by Manchester history – from the colour palette, chosen to represent the red brick architecture of Manchester, to the decorative antique brass light fittings, a nod to the industrial heritage of the city.
Opening on Saturday 1st February, the store will house all of Astrid & Miyu’s coveted jewellery ranges, as well as two studios for their hugely popular jewellery services, including piercing, welding and tattoos. Astrid & Miyu will also be launching exclusive new tattoos and welding charms, inspired by the city of Manchester. The new space is one of their most requested stores ever, and brings their famous ‘jewellery playground‘ experience to the city for the first time.
Astrid & Miyu’s founder, Connie Nam, said: “Our customers have been asking us for a Manchester store for years, so we’re thrilled to finally be opening our doors in this fantastic city with a newly designed space that reflects the heritage of Manchester alongside our signature A&M magic. Expect all of your Astrid & Miyu favourites alongside some exclusive charms and tattoos, designed especially for our Manchester community.”
