Circus Funtasia will return to Wythenshawe Park from April 12- 14 and organisers are promising a heart-stopping show set to an amazing soundtrack.
With high-flying acrobats, flame-throwing fire eaters, and 360-degree motorcycle stunts, this ninety-minute show certainly packs a punch – and proves that the circus isn’t just for kids.
Circus Funtasia has gained a reputation for world-class stunts over the last few years, and 2019 will be no exception. The show will be opened by two Tommy Shelby lookalikes with a taste for danger. The duo will leap and handstand across the giant rotating ‘Wheel of Death’ holding onto their flat caps with plenty of heart-in-mouth moments.
The Globe of Death will return with new riders and routines that will include several motorbikes riding at top speed upside down inside a metal cage, millimetres apart.
There will also be fire breathers, knife jugglers and aerialists who will drop from spectacular heights, including the roof of the Big Top. Plus, the UK’s only female ‘sky-walker’ will defy gravity as she steps bravely across the clouds.
In a moment of calm, a beautiful ‘adagio’ will be told by a duo of gymnasts. Using a combination of dance and acrobatics, they tell a love story for a new generation. The Geek is the star of the show. A cross between Lee Evans and a goofy teenager, he will enchant the youngsters while making mum and dad laugh out loud.
Tickets are priced at £10 and are available from Fever. For more information click here.
Look out for the cheeky Cirque du Vulgar on Saturday nights too, when the cast will don their risqué outfits and perform an entirely different show for over 18s only. Click here for more information.
