Kraftwerk, New Order and Hot Chip Will Headline Bluedot Festival, Organisers Have Revealed

Bluedot will return this summer and tickets will go on sale this week.

Bluedot Festival will be celebrating fifty years since the Moon Landings this July with a four-day spectacular combining music, science, cosmic culture and more beneath the Lovell Telescope.

The festival will take place from July 18 – 21 at Jodrell Bank Observatory in Cheshire. Organisers have revealed the first wave of headliners which include Kraftwerk 3-D, New Order and Hot Chip as well as ground-breaking sets from the Grammy-nominated performers Jon Hopkins and Tokimonsta.

There will also be science and culture talks from Liz Bonnin, Helen Pankhurst, Jim Al-Khalili and Tom Shakespeare, and much more, including the full moon landings celebration line up, still to be announced.

Bluedot 2019 is the fourth instalment of the relatively-new festival which has previously seen headline performances from the likes of The Chemical Brothers, Pixies, The Flaming Lips, Underworld and Jean-Michel Jarre, plus high-profile talks by Brian Cox, Alice Roberts and Richard Dawkins.

The festival will take place at Jodrell Bank Observatory, Bomish Lane, Cheshire, SK11 9DW, which is 30 minutes away from Manchester by car. The nearest train station is Macclesfield Station. Festival organisers will also be arranging coach travel from Manchester.
