Finding life on Radium Street back in September 2020, Ancoats Pop-Up has quickly established itself as a go-to-market for locals to enjoy – bringing handmade crafts, local produce, art and clothing to the growing neighbourhood. The market moved to a bigger and better location last year, finding a home in the popular Cutting Room Square and it’s back this weekend hosting another pop-up market.
A location that’s blessed with a high footfall thanks to the many local bars and restaurants that encircle it, as well as being a social space to sit and hang out with friends, the square is a great spot for Ancoats Pop-Up.
Taking place on September 10th and 11th, the pop-up market will continue to be home to some of the city’s most talented creatives – with an array of stalls set to fill out the square every second weekend of the month.
Anocats Pop-Up said: “Join us on the second week of the month when we take over Cutting Room Square and fill it with artisan crafts, cakes, food and drink! All made by local creatives! Along side browsing the amazing makers we have The Craft Club – A ‘pay what you feel’ workshop. You can take a seat, soak in the atmosphere and get creative with a local maker, from pot painting to macrame.”
Plus, this month Ancoats Pop-Up will also be hosting their very first arts exhibition in Chinatown. The opening night takes place on September 24th from 5pm-onwards. There will be local food vendors, a bar, live music, and all artwork for sale! Proceeds are in part supporting local non-profit Mustard Tree.
