Just as we were pining for our weekly Gregg’s…
The devil works hard, but Aldi sure does work harder – and it seems they’re still creating tasty treats for us to try, even during the UK lockdown. Launching a brand new product just today that’s bound to make any pastry fan’s ears perk up, Aldi has further expanded its plant-based freezer range with a vegan steak bake that’ll rival even our beloved Gregg’s.
Aptly named the ‘No Steak Bakes’, these puffy little beauties are filled with a soya protein, combined with tasty, rich gravy, all encased in a flaky, golden puff pastry. I’m drooling.
The new freezer aisle addition resembles the real deal in both appearance and taste, but fans can rest assured they’re 100% plant-based, making them suitable for both vegans and vegetarians. Customers will receive two in each pack, which cost just £1.19.
The No Steak Bakes join Aldi’s growing Plant Menu range, which already includes vegan sausage rolls and a variety of pizza options.
