Cumbria and Greater Manchester-based Lovingly Artisan Bakery has once again snapped up a number of awards for their brilliant baked goods. The bakery with two North West locations – Kendal and Altrincham – won six product awards, including three Golds, at this year’s Great British Food Awards, as well as being named the best in the region.
Earlier this year, Lovingly Artisan was honoured with a place in the Baker’s Dozen Top UK Bakeries list by the British Baker and named among the UK’s top 50 bakeries in The Good Food Guide’s annual list. Plus, the bakery was also awarded two two-star awards and two one-star awards by The Guild of Fine Food.

Launched in 2014, the Great British Food Awards recognise the very best food and drink produced across the UK. Each year entries are judged by leading chefs, critics and industry experts, with Lovingly Artisan’s winning products assessed by a panel that included celebrity chefs, Michelin-starred restaurateurs, food critics, influencers, buyers and food writers.
This year’s judges included Raymond Blanc, Nina Matsunaga, Theo Randall, Nisha Katona MBE, Briony May Williams, Amy Elles, William Sitwell, Bart Stratfold and Kate Austen, among others.

“It shows that, across the board, our bakery is producing the goods.”
Commenting on the bakery’s success, Catherine Connor, co-owner of Lovingly Artisan Bakery, said: “Winning the North of England Regional Award, alongside three Golds, two Silvers and a Bronze, is one of the highlights of the year. It shows that, across the board, our bakery is producing the goods.
“Aidan and I want to say a huge thank you to every member of the team for their dedication and continued hard work during what has been an epic year. We couldn’t have done any of this without you – thank you, everyone!”
